Growing up, I was fortunate to have parents who understood and entertained my love of animals. My first pet was a blue Budgerigar named Tweety, my first dog was Spots, and my first rabbit was Wiggles. My childhood was filled with rescue dogs of all sizes, hamsters, Guinea pigs, cockatiels, hermit crabs and fish.
